Who we are

BoothFinders is a community-powered directory of vendor events, markets and fairs. It is owned and operated by Cutthroat Art Studios LLC ("we", "us"), PO Box 81, Alder, MT 59710, USA. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

It covers the BoothFinders website and mobile apps. By using BoothFinders you agree to this policy.

Information you give us

Account details. Your name and email address when you create an account or sign in. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider — we never see them.

Content you submit. Events, vendor locations, edit suggestions, ratings and written reviews, event photos, and any notes you send with them.

Your saved items and preferences. Events you save, private planning notes, saved featured listings, and your preferred country, state and city.

Communications. If you sign up for email updates, we record your email address, your stated interests, and the date and wording of the consent you gave.

Payments. If you buy a featured placement or a Pro subscription, our payment processor collects your payment details. We receive only a confirmation, the amount, and limited billing details such as the last four digits of a card. We never store full card numbers.

Information we collect automatically

Device identifier. We store a random identifier in your browser to limit spam submissions and abuse of the submission forms. It is not a name and is not shared with advertisers.

Usage and technical data. Pages you view and actions you take in the app, plus basic technical information such as your browser type. When you click a featured placement we record a short-lived, server-derived fingerprint (based on your network address) so the same visit is not counted repeatedly.

How we use your information

To run the directory: show events near you, save your lists, publish approved submissions, display ratings, and let you manage your account.

To keep the community safe: review submissions, detect spam and abuse, moderate reviews and listings, and act on reports.

To operate the business: process featured placement and subscription payments, pay partner commissions, send the updates you asked for, provide support, and understand which parts of the app people use.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your saved location filters, and measure basic usage. Blocking them may stop parts of the app from working. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Who we share it with

Service providers who host and run the app for us: our application platform (Base44) for data storage and hosting, our payment processor (Stripe) for payments and subscriptions, and our email delivery provider for notifications and updates. They may only use your information to provide those services.

Public content. Approved events, vendor locations, reviews and featured listings are visible to everyone, so please do not include private information in them.

Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or ourselves.

How long we keep it

Saved events, private notes, preferences and bookmarks stay until you remove them or delete your account. Approved reviews may be kept for up to six years and are then removed. Expired one-time events are deleted roughly 24 months after they pass. After you unsubscribe, we keep a record of your consent and opt-out as evidence of your choice. Payment and featured placement transaction records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your choices and rights

You can review and change your saved items, notes and preferences in the app at any time, and unsubscribe from email updates using the link in any message or from your account.

You can delete your account and its data from the app, or by using our account deletion page. Deleting your account removes your saved items, notes, bookmarks, preferences, your reviews and edit suggestions, and any submissions that were not approved. Approved community listings stay in the directory with your identifying details removed. Payment records are retained as described above.

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to request a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or object to certain processing. Write to us at the contact details below and we will respond within the time your local law allows.

Children

BoothFinders is not intended for children under 13, and paid features are for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

How we protect your information

Access to stored data is restricted by role: you can only reach your own saved items and preferences, and administrative functions require an admin account. Sensitive operations run on our servers rather than in your browser. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will be highlighted in the app.
